PhD Scholarship in Radiochemistry at DTU, Denmark

Scholarship Description:Applications are invited from enthusiastic and talented individuals for a PhD scholarship in radiochemistry at the Hevesy Laboratory at Risø DTU.Drawing on recent advances in organic-, polymer- and radiochemistry the successful candidate will explore new solid phase radio fluorination methodology. The research will also include the development of new methodologies for extraction of [18F]fluoride from target water and converting it into an efficient fluorination source.
Qualifications:Candidates should have (or be about to obtain) a master’s degree in radiochemistry, organic chemistry or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to the master’s degree in engineering. Previous experience with radio fluorination and [18F]FDG production is a strong advantage. The candidate should also demonstrate a strong commitment to research.The scholarships for the PhD degree are subject to academic approval and the candidates will be enrolled in one of the general degree programmes of DTU. The period of employment is 3 years.
