PostDoctoral Research Associate Position in Nanomanufacturing, USA

Scholarship Description: We are seeking a candidate for a postdoctoral appointment working in the area of multilayer polymer extrusion. This position will have primary responsibility for research on layered polymer structures and their fabrication using our co-extrusion processes. The candidate should be familiar with structure-property relationships for polymers and knowledge of other plastics processing techniques. Candidate should be familiar with characterization techniques, such as OM, SEM, WAXS, SAXS, DSC, DMA, TGA, for polymer materials. Other tasks include documentation of research findings, meeting with other research staff, supervising graduate students, collaboration on scientific papers, and presentation of research findings to internal and external audiences, proposal writing and grant application. Job requires a high level of understanding of polymer processing at the nanoscale with particular emphasis on co-extrusion processes. This position is contingent upon funding.
