Study Subject: High power beam conversion in diamond Raman lasers and Miniature waveguide Raman lasers

Scholarship Description: A full-time PhD scholarship is available in Physics, MQ Photonics Research Centre, at Macquarie University to be taken up in 2010 or for commencement during Semester 1, 2011 for a suitably qualified domestic or international candidate.
Successful applicants will join a growing team of researchers within the MQ Photonics Research Centre that aspire to make major advances in diamond lasers, micro-optical systems and nonlinear Raman interactions.
Applicants should have an honours degree in physics or optical engineering or equivalent, preferably specialising in optics and photonics.
