Scholarship Description: The PhD project that is offered has focus on establishing novel concepts for continuous biological production processes. The project will be supported by a senior researcher as well, to speed up developments, and also involves collaboration with Tsinghua University (Beijing, China).
Candidates for the position should have a master’s degree in chemical or biochemical engineering. Beside a strong commitment for research, the PhD student should ideally have an interest in fermentation and biocatalysis, as well as small-scale reactors. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic multi-disciplinary research group, the Center for Process Engineering and Technology at the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at DTU, with strong focus on development of new processes and new applications for bio catalysis.
Assessment
In the assessment of the candidates consideration will be given to:
* Relevance of background experience
* Proficiency in written and spoken English, and good communication skills.
