The School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering is a research intensive engineering school, recognised nationally and internationally for excellence in industry focused education and applied research. The School is currently recruiting for a PhD candidate to work on a research project focusing on Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) tools for composites manufacturing, using electro discharge machining technology.
PhD applicants will hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree with first-class honors or equivalent in manufacturing, mechatronics, mechanical or other relevant engineering discipline and have experience in experimental data collection and analysis, coupled with knowledge of CNC manufacturing processes and technologies. The successful candidate will join our research team, involving both RMIT researchers and industry experts.
